COMMUNITY POLICE
Drop-In
Centers
The Brockton Community Policing Leadership Council is pleased to announce the establishment of the police drop-in-center. The centers are located at Carry Hill Plaza 240 East Ashland St., Petti's Market 216 Belmont Street, Plaza Pharmacy 162 Main St., and Brockton Food Mart 1293 Main St. These drop in centers can be used by both on duty Brockton Police and the community. At these drop-in-centers are desks, copy machines, and phones for use by the Officers.
The purpose of these drop-in centers is for the neighbors to have a place in their neighborhood to meet with an officer in a more casual atmosphere. The centers also offer the public a place to retrieve information on local public safety efforts; neighborhood crime watch; upcoming events; etc.. Both police and residents are encouraged to use this facility as often as necessary. Officers are encouraged to take their break at a spot like this just as neighbors are similarly encouraged to stop by especially if they see a police cruiser parked outside. This drop-in center should not be confused with a substation where a police officer is always on duty.
These drop in centers are easily identified by looking for the blue sign in front of the business housing the center.
