Brockton D.R.E.A.M.S. (Drug Resistance Education and Mentoring Students) is a non-profit organization formed to assist the Brockton Police Department fund all of its educational programs. 

 

Over the years the Brockton Police has been involved with teaching drug education, gang resistance, stranger danger, railroad safety, gun safety, car seat safety, seatbelt safety, internet safety, preventing teen dating violence, shaken baby prevention, and the mock trial program.  This tremendous collaboration with various departments District Attorneys Office, the MA state police, the MBTA police, the Department of Corrections, the Brockton Public schools health department and Bridgewater State College has brought many beneficial programs to the city of Champions. 

 

Supporting the DREAMS program enables uniformed officers to visit the Brockton Public and private schools and teach in the 3rd, 5th, 7 and 8th grades. 

 

DREAMS has also participated in many safety fairs, sponsored car shows, basketball games, field trips, held graduations for the great program and recently a held a Heroes night with the Shaw’s center. 

 

Because of the tremendous support from the community the Brockton Police Department is able to continue its efforts in educating the children of Brockton.
